Polaris Wilderness Adventure LtdHertfordshire courses in Bushcraft

Our Ethos

Opening in 2012, Polaris Wilderness Aventure Ltd was launched by founder, Graham Couling, who wanted to share his enthusiasm for nature and wildlife and the great outdoors. The skills our ancestors pocessed that ensured the survival of mankind are not widely known today and Graham wanted to help keep this skills alive for future generations.

Our courses offer the opportunity to learn tradition living skills and more modern survival techniques proving a truly enriching experience. We offer one day workshops through to full weekend experiences, helping us to connect with the earth and explore the lived experiences of previous generations.

We are very fortunate to have our camp set in 40 acres of ancient woodland, based in Bayford, Hertfordshire we are just half an hour from the M25 and can be easily accessed via road or rail. Your safety is paramount, there are no public footpaths on our land, we have gated entry and a fully secure car park.

We are a member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning and are dedicated to the comptent delivery of our Buscraft sessions. We cater for families, schools, youth organisations in addition to corporate team building sessions.

Schools

We work with several schools across Hertfordshire and can offer classes both on our 40 acre site or on school grounds. We offer a wide range of session options including shelter building, animal track interpretation, wood carving, plant and tree identification, fire lighting and more. The learning doesn't end when the children leave us, with the use of trail camers students are able to see wildlife in their natural habitate after dark.

Team Building

Our team building experiences can be booked as one day survual experience or can include an overnight challenge.

Get your team outdoors, away from technology and build those all important relationships through individual and team challenges.

Does your team have what it takes to survive?
