Brocket HallEnglish stately home

Fine stately home

Brocket Hall is one of England’s finest stately homes. Brocket Hall has the finest golf course, superb dining and is a marvellous residential country estate. Spread over a beautiful 543 acres of seclusion & tranquillity, the estate has drawn the rich and famous over centuries to stay in its peaceful surroundings.

Rooms

In the tranquil grounds of the Brocket Hall estate lies Melbourne Lodge, the elegant Georgian coach house conversion. With beautiful views of the Hall, Broadwater Lake and the Melbourne golf course, the 16 luxurious en suite rooms in Melbourne Lodge are the perfect place to retire to after an exhilarating round of golf, a sumptuous dinner in Auberge du Lac, the award-winning restaurant, a wedding, private party or business meeting. All 16 bedrooms are appointed to the highest standard, in traditional country house style to provide a relaxing and luxurious experience. Grandly spacious, and furnished with original pieces from the Estate, they all hold a piece of history. All rooms come with a large double interior sprung bed, flat screen TV with Freeview channels, direct dial telephone, tea & coffee making facilities, homemade cookies, hairdryer, complimentary Miller Harris toiletries, free WiFi and towelling robes.

Golf

The courses are appropriately named after the Prime Ministers who once resided at Brocket Hall, Lord Palmerston and Lord Melbourne. Both are quintessentially British by design, but at the same time offer a completely different challenge for golfers of all abilities. Together, they are two of the finest golf courses in England and provide the perfect backdrop for the tournaments and golf days that fill the social calendar. Both courses regularly play host to professional and members’ tournaments as well as Pro-Am tournaments where our members can meet and play with professionals from around the world. A round of golf becomes truly memorable when you include award-winning Modern British dining at Auberge du Lac, laid-back lunches in Watershyppes Restaurant or a stay in the beautiful Melbourne Lodge.

Auberge du Lac restaurant

Housed in Brocket Hall’s former hunting lodge, Auberge du Lac enjoys an idyllic lakeside setting overlooking the beautiful 543 acre country estate and the Hall itself. With numerous awards, including the two star AA Rosette Award, Auberge du Lac provides the highest standards in cuisine and service. Whether it is al fresco dining in summer at the water’s edge or an intimate environment in the winter months, Auberge du Lac provides the right mood for every occasion. With a beautiful lounge, picturesque terrace and a host of tastefully decorated private dining rooms, capable of seating from 2 to 16 guests, the restaurant regularly caters for private dinners, ladies lunches, weddings, birthday parties and other celebrations.
